POWEREX 90

POWEREX 90 is a newly developed, Pre fabricated, Vacuum formed Exothermic Sleeves produced in advanced automatic machine to ensure the precision of the sleeves very close to the tolerance for use in all types of Iron and Steel Castings.

Sleeves are manufactured with high Quality Materials, upholding dimensional exactitude and designed for Supreme performance compared to Conventional Type of Sand Risers.

POWEREX 90 Sleeves are available in Open Sizes from Dia 30 mm to 300 mm and blind sizes from 30 mm to 150 mm in increments of 10 mm with various Heights.

The distinctive features of density range from 0.55 to 0.65(gm/cc) and pre fabrication of POWEREX 90 ensures Mammoth strength, high Moisture Opposition, More precise in dimensions and fit for inserts of ram – up application in Iron and Steel Castings.

To Eliminate the use of Conventional sand feeders which gives poor Casting Yield and to minimize the contact area with the Castings, resulting low Fettling Cost.

POWEREX 90 Sleeves Combine both attitudes of Exothermic and Insulation Properties there by Initial Chill is reduced when the feeder gets filled.

POWEREX 90 induces more amount of Heat to the Molten Metal and the Insulation Properties in the sleeves Sustain the heat generated for a longer time to extend the Solidification time of the molten Metal Compared to Sand Risers.

Since the exothermic and insulating Properties of POWEREX 90 is high, a conventional feeder can be replaced with a smaller size of POWEREX 90 , thus increasing casting Yield and more number of Molds per heat.

• Select appropriate size of POWEREX 90 Sleeves from the Technical Data Chart
• Calculate the adequate feed requirements,risers Placement distance, Modulus factors of the castings before selection of Risers.
• Use POWEREX -700 ( APC – Anti Piping Compound ) when open risers are used, to avoid heat loss to the atmosphere.
• Metal Should be poured to open risers to its full height.
• The vent Hole in blind Sleeves should be punctured and extended to the mould box to allow the mould air to Escape while Pouring.

POWEREX 90 Sleeves are available in shrink wrapped cardboard trays for the ease of handling and for reducing moisture pick-up in sleeves.

POWEREX 90 Sleeves should be kept in room temperature. The sleeves should be removed from its packing only at the time of use to avoid moisture pick-up in sleeves.
