Powerins Plus

POWERINS Plus is a newly developed, Pre fabricated, Vacuum formed Insulating Sleeves for use in all types of Iron and Steel Castings.Sleeves are manufactured with high Quality Materials ,upholding dimensional exactitude and designed for Supreme performance compared to Conventional Type of Sand Risers.

POWERINS Plus Sleeves are available in open Sizes from 1.5 to 12 Inches and blind Sizes from 1.5 to 6 inches Diameter in increments of 0.5 Inch with various heights.

POWERINS Plus Sleeve has good Strength, high moisture opposition, More Precise in Dimensions and fit for inserts or Ram – up application in Iron and Steel Castings.

To eliminate the use of Conventional sand feeders which gives Poor Casting Yield and to minimize the contact area with the castings, resulting Low Fettling Cost.

POWERINS Plus induces high Insulation to the Molten Metal and the insulation properties in the Sleeves retains the heat for longer time to extend the solidification time of the molten metal compared to sand Risers which helps to produce Sound Castings.

Since the Insulating properties of Power plus is High, a conventional feeder can be replaced with a smaller size of POWERINS plus thus increasing Casting yield and more number of moulds per heat.

• Select appropriate size of POWERINS plus Sleeves from the technical data chart.
• Calculate the adequate feed metal requirements, risers Placement distance, Modules factors of the castings before selection of Risers.
• Use POWEREX -700 ( APC – Anti Piping Compound ) when open risers are used, to avoid heat loss to the atmosphere.
• Metal Should be poured to open risers to its full height.
• Feeder Sleeves Should be placed on the pattern prior to Moulding So as to ensure Correct, Placement for ram –up Application
• Handle Sleeves with Care to avoid breakages.
• The vent hole in Blind Sleeves should be punctured and extended to the top of the mould Box to allow the Mould air to escape while Pouring.

POWERINS Plus Sleeves are available in shrink wrapped cardboard trays for the ease of handling and for reducing moisture pick-up in sleeves.

POWERINS Plus Sleeves should be kept in room temperature. The sleeves should be removed from its packing only at the time of use to avoid moisture pick-up in sleeves.
